Take it in kids -Roxy McKnight
9th grade year is one of the most essential years in high school even though most people would not agree. Maybe it is not as significant grade wise, but when we enter high school, it becomes our new reality. We start to develop as young adults and take serious consideration into the future that is at stake. I believe that our social stigma gradually matures and we adjust to the older crowd of people. We learn new mechanisms of learning and begin realizing the importance of advocacy. At Animas High School, we build strong student teacher relationships that I believe will carry on through the rest of our high school years and maybe even further. I have been a freshman for a total of one semester and have already developed this sense of an imaginary roller coaster that is either going up or down. I never know when I will have a good day or when the worst day of high school will come, but I would rather cherish every moment then worry about every little detail. And yes, I understand, Its Izzy Tyler, my OCD will kick in and I will need everything to go perfectly but since the first day that I walked in the doors at animas, I knew that was not going to the be the case. I would like to thank all my teachers for helping me push through this semester with a smile on my face! I cant describe the amount I have changed positively as a person, student, and peer.
